Drew Skarupa, Chief Financial Officer

Drew Skarupa brings nearly twenty years of financial leadership and expertise to his position as Chief Financial Officer for REAL D. Mr. Skarupa has extensive experience in accounting and SEC reporting, financial analysis, credit management, mergers and acquisitions, capital acquisition, and more.

Prior to joining REAL D, Mr. Skarupa served as Vice President for Finance at WaterMark Sports, a leader in the design and production of products for outdoor enthusiasts, where he successfully guided the company’s financial operations through the sale of its personal flotation device business to K2.


Before WaterMark, Mr. Skarupa served as Chief Financial Officer for Alliant Protection Services, an electronics security company. Under his guidance, the company completed six major acquisitions, raised $14.4 million in equity financing rounds and $13 million in senior debt. Mr. Skarupa played an integral role in the successful sale of Alliant Protection Services to the publicly-traded Integrated Alarm Services Group (IASG).

Before joining Alliant, Mr. Skarupa served as Vice President of Finance for Free-PC, an idealab network company acquired by eMachines. While at Free-PC, Mr. Skarupa was a vital team member leading the initial public offering of Free-PC/eMachines. Prior to Free-PC, Mr. Skarupa served as Vice President of Finance for idealab, where he was responsible for internal budgeting, accounting and tax functions for idealab and its portfolio companies.

Mr. Skarupa joined idealab following a successful career at MiniMed, a publicly held medical device manufacturer. At MiniMed, Mr. Skarupa oversaw all aspects of the company's internal financial operations and participated in the company's initial and follow-on public equity offerings.

Mr. Skarupa is a licensed CPA. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics, as well as a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.
